The work itself tends to run to windshields. Midwood drivers cover real miles, out to work, up the Prospect Expressway, along Ocean Parkway, and a windshield that sees that much road picks up chips. Half the time somebody arrives thinking they need a full replacement and leaves thirty minutes later with a resin fill instead, because the chip was still small and out of the sightline. From the northern half of Midwood, Avenue J across to 18th Avenue works just as well and avoids the Kings Highway crawl. Figure ten to fifteen minutes without traffic, longer around school dismissal.
