For a working vehicle, mobile glass is not a convenience, it is the difference between losing a morning and losing nothing. The van comes to the yard, the dock or the street where the vehicle is already standing, the glass goes in, and your crew carries on around it. We do a lot of that in this neighborhood, and the industrial blocks are generally good ground for it because there is space.
The requirements do not change because the setting is commercial. We need room to work around the vehicle, ground that is reasonably level, and weather that allows urethane to cure to strength. Given those, the install is the same one we would do in the bay: glass identified by VIN, aperture cleaned and primed, fresh adhesive, full safe drive-away time observed before the vehicle is used, everything vacuumed, and the same lifetime workmanship warranty. Vehicles requiring static camera calibration with shop equipment are the exception, and we identify those before scheduling so no one is surprised. We will also tell you honestly if a particular vehicle is better done in the bay, because a compromised install on a working van helps nobody.

The thing to sort out before we come is access. Some of the yards and buildings around the industrial blocks have gates, security desks or restricted hours, and a tech who cannot get to the vehicle is a wasted appointment for both of us. Tell us when you book what we need to do to get in, who to ask for, and whether the vehicle can be moved to a spot with room around it. On the residential side, the streets around 8th Avenue and 5th Avenue are too congested for comfortable work during business hours, so we will usually suggest a quieter block a couple of streets away or a slot after the morning deliveries have cleared out. No. Mobile work within our regular service area is priced the same as work done at the shop, whether the address is a house, a lot or a dock. If a job ever fell far enough outside the area to justify a travel charge, we would tell you at the quote rather than adding it to the invoice afterwards.
