Side and rear tempered glass runs $200 to $450 fitted for most cars and is usually a same-day job once the part is on hand. We clear the door cavity and cabin of every fragment, fit glass matched to your vehicle, and reconnect and test the rear defroster and antenna before handing back the keys.

Tempered glass is the material used everywhere on a car except the windshield, and it is designed to fail into blunt cubes rather than sharp shards. That is a genuine safety benefit and a real nuisance to clean up, because those cubes travel. They go down inside the door skin, into the seat rails, under the carpet and into the seat-belt channel, and they will still be turning up months later if the job is done carelessly.
So the work has two halves. First the old glass comes out of everywhere it went, which is most of the labour and the part that separates a proper repair from a quick one. Then the new pane goes in, matched to your exact vehicle so the curvature, thickness and any shade band are right, with new clips and seals where they are needed. On a door window we clear and check the regulator and track, then run the window through its travel several times. On rear glass we reconnect the defroster grid and any antenna element bonded into the pane, and test that both actually work. Only then does the car leave, because a defroster that was disconnected during the install is not something you discover until the first cold morning.
“Quick and easy, but some of the workers there have a real attitude problem.”

Bay Ridge has more off-street parking than the neighborhoods closer to us, which changes the pattern of what we see. Fewer overnight street break-ins, more accidental damage: garage door frames, driveways on a slope where a car rolls a few inches further than intended, and back windows meeting the wall at the end of a shared drive. It also means more of these jobs can be done at the address, since a driveway is easy working space for a side window. The one thing we would not recommend is leaving the car parked outside near the water with the pane missing. Salt-laden damp in an open door assembly starts corrosion in the window channel quickly, and that is a much bigger repair than the glass.

Yes, and side glass is one of the better candidates for mobile work. There is no long adhesive cure to manage, so weather matters far less than it does for a windshield. All we need is space to open the door fully and work at it. Tell us the vehicle and the pane when you call and the van arrives with the right glass on board.
Factory tint is matched by specification, so the shade comes out correct for your vehicle. If someone has applied aftermarket film over the original glass, that film is lost with the broken pane and will need reapplying afterwards by whoever does that work. We will flag it when you book so it is not a surprise when you collect the car.
Tell us the vehicle and the glass that's damaged — you'll see your price instantly, and we'll hold it for you.
